TRANSITION PROGRAM STARTS IN TERM 4

Once your child is enrolled at Thomastown Meadows Primary School, they will have access to a range of programs designed to support a smooth transition to school.

Our Transition from Kinder to School Program begins in Term 4 and runs for five weeks, with sessions of approximately two hours per week.

For Parents

Parents are invited to attend a Parent Information Presentation during the transition program. This session provides guidance and tips to help prepare your child for starting school.

Supporting Our Students

Each year, we carefully plan a program to help our new Foundation students settle into school. Research shows that children who participate in an orientation program adjust more easily, feel confident, and enjoy a positive start to their schooling journey.

Transition session times and the Parent Information Night date are shared in Term 3 of each year.

At the end of the orientation program, a Parent Information Evening is held. This session provides parents and carers with:

• Key information about the school

• Important dates for the school year

• Tips to support their child’s learning and wellbeing
