| At Thomastown Meadows Primary School, homework is viewed as an important part of each child’s learning journey. It provides students with the opportunity to practise and consolidate what they have learned at school, and to revise key concepts and skills. As part of our comprehensive and balanced curriculum, homework supports and fosters life-long learning while strengthening the connection between home and school. Parents and guardians play a vital role in supporting their child’s learning. You can help by developing a positive attitude towards homework, reading together, talking about school experiences, and involving your child in everyday learning opportunities around the home. Teachers at Thomastown Meadows design meaningful and age-appropriate homework tasks that encourage students to take responsibility for their learning beyond the classroom.
